Your Pet and Your Will

If something happens to you, what will become of your pets? Legally they are listed only as part of your assets. Your will should reflect your wishes in that regard, and that should include your beloved pets.

Be sure to include specific instructions as to the disposition of your pets, just as you would for your children. You can provide for them, arrange who will have their keeping after you, and so forth. Speak with your executor as well to ensure that there is no misunderstanding.

Writing a will may be an unpleasant task, but it is the surest way to know that your pets will be well cared for.
