Dogs are part of our lives. We take them in the car with us, travel with them. They are emerged in our daily lives.
One of our newsletter subscribers, Fannie the rottie mix, was a wedding present saved just in the nick of time from the Washington Animal Rescue League in Washington, DC. They rescued her from Gordon County, Georgia, through the SHARE program. She was picked up as a stray and was going to be euthanized, and then the SHARE program rescued her and brought her to Washington, DC – she was adopted her a couple months later as a wedding present. What a great way to start a life together! Fannie even was invited on the honeymoon.
It is important to make sure you choose the right dog for your family and lifestyle….whether you rescue a dog or bring a pure bred dog into your home. Visit our breed and rescue profile pages as well as our new online rescue community to learn more!
