Woof! Fleur de Lis & Charity

Woof! Fleur de Lis for Pet Charity!

It is quite appropriate that this ancient symbol of royalty depicting a lily is reflected in modern times as “the continuing presence of heraldry in everyday life” New Orleans, known for it’s music, wonderful old architecture, French Quarter, food, people and spirit proudly portrays the Fleur de Lis everywhere you may look. This symbol of strength, fortitude and spirit also reflects New Orleans as it rebuilds, post-Katrina.

When hurricane Katrina hit the city of New Orleans – many lives were changed. Part of this change occured as dogs and cats were separated from owners. This is just one element in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina….many lives, homes and businesses were changed forever. Katrina created the largest pet rescue endeavor in history. This mission continues – and the need is great.

The total damage from Katrina is estimated at $81.2 billion (2005 U.S. dollars), nearly double the cost of the previously most expensive storm, and Katrina redistributed New Orleans’ population across the southern United States.

Big Paw Designs has created a special charm in the hopes of helping rebuild one part of New Orleans by helping the pet rescue community.

The Woof! Fleur de Lis pet collar charm embodies the spirit of New Orleans and the love of pets. The charm is also available as a keychain.

Big Paw Designs is offering the collar charm and keychain for sale, launching this holiday season, with a portion of the proceeds going to New Orleans pet rescues in hope of helping to rebuild the spirit of New Orleans, one tiny piece at a time.

The charm and keychain are also being made available to stores at wholesale rates, with a portion also being donated back to our furry friends in the Big Easy.

Purchases can be made online at www.bigpawdesigns.com or through a local retailer of your choice (Where to Find a Big Paw Retailer selection varies by location).
